ukranean thanksgiving [11 ♥ 28 ♥ 09]
I had a dream in which I was dating Snoop Dog, no joke. He took me to a secret CCR concert and to see a shitty, confusing movie with Ben Stiller. There, I saw the weirdest, creepiest looking family and wished I had a notebook and a pen so I could draw them; all of them were unusually small, not midgets but just small and shriveled up, with small square-ish faces and looking pissed off. The grandfather was in a wheel chair and had a Hitler-style moustache, his son looked exactly like him and I think there was a teenage girl but I'm not sure. The grandmother had an old, faded pink dress on and a hiderous hat with a flower sticking out of it. The wife was round and fat in red with matching bright lipstick. They were perfect! I couldn't stop staring at them because I wanted to remember them well so I could draw them later but Snoop Dog told me not to stare at them because it's rude.
My point is that I shouldn't drink so much wine before bedtime.

Last night I invited some of my favorite students for a 'potluck' because we learned that word/concept this week. They came on-time (unlike most of all americans when they're invited to a party) and brought a lot of delicious Ukranean food, desserts and even home-made wine! It was a lot of fun, they are very sweet and I loved getting some Russian speaking practice with them. One of them, Katya, might be able to find weed today! I don't even want to think about it in case it doesn't happen, but if it does...MY GOD FINALLY! :D And just when I have at least a week's supply of leftovers in my frige!

Classic Bulgarian cinema! [11 ♥ 26 ♥ 09]

I love this movie and I love Velko Kunev despite (or because of!) his big nose and mustache.

cultural differences [11 ♥ 26 ♥ 09]
In Bulgaria, nodding your head means 'no', shaking it means 'yes' and it only makes sense to me when I or someone else is speaking in Bulgarian.
In Eastern Europe in general, typing ':)))' with many parentheses means that you are happier than this; ':)'. When you think something is bad or something bad happens you say 'Fuuu'.

Will I ever return to the States? I really hope I find a teaching job in Bulgaria next year. If not, I'm going to Turkey.

:))))
